BIO
I am a doctoral candidate in bioethics and health policy at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Berman Institute of Bioethics. I hold master's degrees in Social Work (macro practice) and Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's from St. John’s College, Annapolis. My dissertation is about health services for transgender people and the ethics of trans medicine. As a health services researcher, I use both qualitative and quantitative methods and have experience with many data sources including interviews, surveys, and federal datasets. As a bioethicist, I have explored a variety of topics including medical necessity determinations, gender-affirming care, pediatric clinical ethics, and insurance benefit design. |
